On the issue of discipline and punishment, I think love and respect does play a role in distinguishing between discipline and punishment. Is it better for learners to fear the teacher or adhere to the rules because they have a reciprocal relationship of respect? The video link in the article showed how the learner was struggling with ambitions and discipline as it was portrayed negatively and how he transformed when the teacher took an interest and showed care towards him. She became a teacher he wouldn't forget. What are your thoughts?
